Another episode of 'Highway Paparazzo'........'live'..pics

In the small historical gold rush town of Georgetown up in El Dorado County in the California Sierras lurked another treasure; a beautiful 1940 Lincoln Zephyr.

My better half Ellen, a pro-car-spotter, got the first glimpse of this beautiful 1940 classic.  Our car quickly made a u-turn to get an up close view of this beauty

We got to meet the proud owners of this magnificent classic Lincoln.  Bill and Kris have owned this car since 1980.  Kris's father (a talented mechanic) started to restore this car but unfortunately passed away before he could finish.  Bill and Kris wanted to carry out their father's dream; which as you see, they certainly did.

They also drive this fantastic automobile as a daily driver, sharing the dream with other car lovers.  Kris also has a pristine 1962 Corvair convertible that she/family bought new.  After a few minutes of chat, Bill and I discovered we share the same passion for WW2 aircraft as we do with cars.

Ellen and I just made some new friends..........cars are a great bond, our hobby is just a continuation of that bond.
